Yesterday I read two news related with women, one from developed nation united states and other from developing nation India. Both news just show at the end it’s women who suffers. Why? Does anyone have answers?
First News: The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on August 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men. She had taught there for 54 years. The letter quoted the first epistle to Timothy: “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.”
Second News: A woman died after jumping into her husband’s funeral pyre in Tulsipur village, about 80 km from Sagar, prompting authorities to launch a Magisterial probe when people dubbed the incident as an act of ’sati’, officials said.

1Its infuriating. But what’s new. Every religion is created by men, so what we can expect from them. But its nice of you to understand and empathize with women’s problem. Its takes a REAL man to write about women’s issues.

2Hi Tarun,
We may call us civilized, cultured, educated etc etc but the bottomline is we still can’t digest even in our imagination that a woman is equal to man. And many times women also share this viewpoint, perhaps they are now adapted to this harsh reality.
I am new in this blogworld & it’s my first visit to your blog through Mridula’s & I can assure of my regular visits here.
Spent more than an hour going through your posts & pictures. I liked the Hindi blog as well (my mother tongue happens to be hindi). Looking forward to work with you for some hindi work.
Cheers!

5No religion teaches violence or discrimination.
But since this world has been male dominated, injustice to women was inevitable in his quest for more power.
Just to give his actions credibility, man has been hiding under the mask of religion and traditional practices; a cowardly thing to do.
