Yoga is an ancient discipline that has flourished and continues to be practiced in its many forms by millions of people all over the world today. Yoga provides many benefits, such as physical health, emotional stability, mental clarity and spiritual direction. This is because by doing yoga you provide a way so that Mind, body and soul can talk to each other.
Yoga was never attached to any god or religion, it’s just plain spiritual meditation. But I think some people doesn’t understand this. So they come up with Christian Yoga, Body movement, breathing everything is like yoga but Jesus (I think) also get attached into it….”In the name of the father, and of the son….”
People should realize by doing this yoga would be just a plain exercise. When people gets hungry they have two choices either goto fast food joint like McDonald or goto some proper restaurant and have some healthy food, their purpose will be solved from both the places but food could react differently inside the body.
Cindy Senarighi is a Christian yoga teacher…she uses classic ideas and positions from yoga - which is traditionally Hindu - and gives them a ‘bible bent.’
“We do the sun salutation but we’re worshipping the son… s-o-n… Jesus Christ.”
But I think she doesn’t know why do the sun salutation in yoga otherwise she never tell this theory. Sun salutation is the very first step for yoga and this should be done early in the morning in open environment where you can face (or see) the sunrise. By doing this we don’t pray sun as a god, we actually try to get the sun rays into our body.
Christianity isn’t the only faith trying yoga on for size. Judaism is too. Kosher yoga classes are also becoming popular. so what’s your take for this? are you going to but this theory? You can also read about same here and there

1Arrreeee Boss, is pe koi kya kahe? If it satisfies their ego, let it be. This whole world knows from where Yoga comes from and giving it a PREFIX, won’t let the facts change. A rose by any name is a rose and a rose and a rose.
If tomarow someone claims that we discovered zero, and it is different from “that” zero, what can we do? Isn’t it already happening. They are giving “Basmati” the name “”Texasmati” ….but can they produce that khushaboo and texture?

2I agree with Alka above…some ppl change everything to suit their ego…so let em be. This is also a by-product of fanaticism
- trying to ‘own’ everything in this world. Forget em…we know where Yoga orginally comes from..as long as that’s preserved, lets not such ppl bother us…
