Here neither I am talking about those politicians or officers who to show their love for language, do something for hindi or speak in hindi only in ‘Hindi Divas’ (once in a year) nor I want to talk about those Bollywood personalities who earn their bread and butter using this language but out of ‘Reel life’ don’t care a damn about this language.
I don’t know it’s love or necessity who force people to select english their primary language but there are some people inspite of being a english literature professor thinks English killing thirst for knowledge. Far from discussing it’s right or wrong here I want to tell two person’s love for hindi, their eagerness to learn this language. One is from Japan and other from USA.
Greg Goulding stilling still dreams” from New york and he works in education industry but does his blogging in hindi and that’s how improves his hindi and show his love for this language. His blog description says what he believes, his blog is for those who dreams in diverse tongue.
The other one is Matsu and he writes from Japan ke ek kone se (from one corner of japan). Inspite of being a Japanese he has done his B.A. in hindi and does blogging in hindi just to improve or may be learn more.
Both these guys know a lot about hindi or India and still contributing their share of diverse tongue thru net where hindi, a national language of a great nation still has to make a room for herself.

1Thanks for giving these two links. I will definitely read them. I have read your review of Rang de…..long time back. It was good too. I was watching Filmfare Award Ceremony, and one wil simply keep on hoping when anyone of the winnwers would speak in Hindi.

3I suppose I’ll keep up with the discussion of my Hindi site in English–seems appropriate enough.
Thanks for the link and write-up, Tarun! I’ll do my best to keep on writing and learning. But, I see you’re from Uttaranchal, a place that is very near and dear to my heart through staying a few weeks in Almora the last time I stayed in India. Truly one of the greatest places I’ve been in my whole life…
Oh, and take heart: Hindi isn’t going anywhere, and it’s the contradictions and mixing-up that makes both of our countries so much fun…

14Hi Tarun
Yes, Its so sad, film actors get paid so much for hindi movies and when they come in public they speak only in English. As if speaking Hindi is a disgrace for them.
Learning Hindi is so difficult, its not very easy. To learn Matra and ka, kha, gha is so difficult.

15I agree with Tarun . The name is hindi movie and then giving a intervieuw in english this is disgusting you know.
I have also a complaint and that is that nowadays in the songs you do not hear shudh hindi words anymore why do the muslim lyrics usen only persian an arabic words? Why use words from abroard?
This a mental oppresion.
In hindi you have so many beautifuls words. In the songs of today you can hear only, rab or khudda WHY the hell the do not use Bhagvan, Ishvar and Parmatma???
