Now-a-days US president is on tour to south asian countries and India is in center point. Till yesteryears India was used to show the image of poverty in short a negative side of India. But now it seems time has changed, some in media reacting positivley (special program in ABC ‘India Rising’) and some still in 50-50 mood (CBS, India the land of Contrast). Handfull of people (non-Indian) learning or at least interested in learning hindi or other Indian language. Getting tution for their kids from India, going India for medical treatment.
So far so good, now it seems both countries agreed for N-deal US to share nuclear power for fuel and energy in return asking India for opening some (14) N-sites for inspection. Still both countries have their share of oppositions so N-Deal not yet a done deal, wait and watch what’s next.
India has second largest population (and could become largest in coming years), so rich Indians mean a very good and richer market for American companies. A Win-win situation for both, inspite of all this definetly there would be some cons too.
Now it would be interesting to see what Mr. Mush (Pakistan’s military general/President Parvez Mushraf) asks from Mr. Bush.
