xpSecurityCenter is actually a rogue anti-spyware program and this program gives fake result of having spywares in your computer and ask you to download this and register by paying $44 (approx). So basically this is kind of scam and keep you bother in every 1-2 minutes.

The main file name of this fake rogue program is xpSecurityCenter.exe and apart from other location it reside in program files directory (C:\Program Files\XPSecurityCenter\XPSecurityCenter.exe).

Initially I tried to remove this using Lavasoft’s Adware but it didn’t work. After downloading Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, installed it and start scaning right away. You will have 2 options - quick scan or full scan, it’s better to use full scan first time. Once it shows all the list, then select all and click “Remove Selected”. Once it’s done then exit and it asks for re-start, say yes and then after re-start, xpSecurityCenter will be gone.
